Project to show friends and family how Bitcoin can be used as a MoE by both humans and AI agents

Hey guys,

I was thinking of ways to orange pill my friends and family. Most of them understand Bitcoin but see it more as a store of value and less of a medium of exchange. I mentioned to them that there are plenty of places where you can pay for things with Bitcoin and also brought up the fact that in a digital age especially one where AI agent will be able to transact on their own or on a human’s behalf, they wouldn’t use traditional banking rails but rather internet native, permissionless money like Bitcoin.

So as a little project to further Bitcoin understanding and adoption, I decided to build something fun that can show people how Bitcoin can be used as a medium of exchange both by humans and AI agents. I built a website called confessionalbooth (dot) xyz where humans or AI agents can pay a $1 invoice via lightning to make a confession or reply to an existing confession on the wall. I thought it would be a fun little experiment that could demonstrate how easy it is to pay with bitcoin for humans and AI agent. I even got my own AI agent to make the first few posts on the website! I created a sub wallet on Alby with a set amount of funds, connected it to Hermes and then told it to go to the website, read the documentation, figure out how to make a make confession and also reply to a confession and it worked perfectly. It was so cool and further reinforces the idea that AI agents will use an internet native money to transact on the web and Bitcoin is the hardest form of money ever built so will be a no brainer for them to use.

Sharing it with the community here to see what you think, get you to test it for yourselves and also for you to use it as an orange pill moment with your own friends and family.

Cheers!
